I think it's bent
I have pretty severe negative camber on the passenger side so I took the insert out and look what I found. Any comments about what happened here would be welcomed. The rub marks are nearly 180 degrees out from each other but the bad one is near the top and the other is near the bottom. The insert doesn't look bent visually, could it be the housing?

I'm guessing you check the top of the strut housing to make sure it didn't move. The wear marks mean the insert was rubbing in the housing I'm guessing. Was the nut on top tight? Is there supposed to be a washer at the bottom to take up any slack?
