It's a little sad to see a Porsche butchered up like that.

Wow amazing how people ooh and aah about a porsche if it is a road race car, but let a guy set out to break Bellos record and this is the response he gets? Only one of the most powerful Porsche engines ever built.....wow thought someone might like it.

Love the wiggins clamp and fabrication work.
This is an awesome purpose built drag car and is definitely an example of Porsche's engineering principle - form follows function. Sure it's not for everyone. But some will appreciate pushing the envelope and making their Porsche more powerful and faster. That's why there are Pebble Beach concourses for the purists and drag racing and NOPI for the enthusiats. |

I like it - nice to see a P-car represent at the "straight track" every now and then.
I too, love the use of the Wiggins clamps!

I can appreciate the engineering that went into building that car (not to mention the $$$) but I get turned off when I see a parachute hanging off the tail and all the blingy drag stuff protruding out of the firewall. By the way, I think all drag cars are ugly, not just this one. Didn't mean to offend you; it's just different strokes for different folks.

In case you are wondering that is an air to water intercooler in the rear area. The tank on the side is filled with ice water.
