Brakes upgrade......
I've got 996 TT big red calipers with adapters and 322 mm discs on my 930 SE and I'm still unhappy with the braking of the car......rear wheels are not enough braking and front are blocking on big braking......
So, is there a way to upgrade the master cylinder, or separate front/rear braking...?.... I've installed a manual "valve" with 4 position, but wich is only "stopping" +/- the brake fluid for the front.....but not sending more to the rear.... Does someone did something to improve that...? Thanks, Serge

Do you have 996TT or 99TT Big Reds? The 993TT brakes have a 320 mm rotor IIRC. You can plumb in a manual brake bias valve to the front or rear brakes to adjust them. Also, check for kinked lines.

Pads can make a bigger difference than disks or calipers, what pads are you running.

Stock rear brakes?
I'd bet you have way too much front bias, ie the front piston area way exceeds the norm. You have the proportioning valve hooked to the FRONT brakes?!? These are for the rears only --

FRONT ![]() REAR ![]() But, a lot of my friends told me that the 930's are often "blocking" on front wheels......

You might try 944 Turbo fronts on the rears - you need way more rear bias.
Ask Bill Verburg -

You can get the 930 fronts on the rear with some swapping of parts.

Doesn't Instant G sell a kit to bolt front and rears on? I have all intentions to run 996TT on front and rear. I've already own them and discussed this with Dr. Timmons with positive reviews. Have you thought of running dual MC/s with balance shaft to help free up adjustments. I second the importance of pad choice. I understand your thought pattern, but I've never heard of anyone using the "restrictive" style proportioning valve on the fronts.
