Compression test
Hi,
On a 7:1 CR 930 Motor. What should my cold Compression test be on each cylinder? Les

Anywhere between 115-130psi I believe... you should never do a compression test on a cold motor anyway.

Wasn't the ideal situation. I was checking some issues to make sure I didn't have a bent valve and did a compression check. Please don't tell the Porsche God's I did a cold compression test! I won't do it again ;-) They all came up dead on 120 #. So that and a valve lash check suggest to me I'm OK for now. I also was worried that my rings had never seated from a rebuild, and the CR test made me feel better about that also. Les

LOL! No probs, your secret is safe with me
![]() More important than the exact reading on each cyl is the variation between cyl's. They all should be very close to one another. Any cylinder that has a significantly different reading from the others should be investigated further with a leakdown test. Since yours is all ~120psi, you're in the green
