cis idle
Can anyone help on this? I have a 73 2.4 cis with some idle problems.
1. idle doesn't willingly return to idle and sometimes it increases on it own. 2.when mixture is set rich enough to run well the idle surges. |

Could be a zillion things, but you may want to eyeball your clutch cable and see if it is interfering with the throttle linkage. Another thought, intake leak.

I had a leak on the tube going to the turbo from the IC and it caused a variable idle. When I replaced the IC I accidently pinched/cut the rubber O ring and it let ambiet air in and changed the air pressure.
