Tune Up 100 miles ago - turned around and BIG CLOUD OF WHITE SMOKE
Well not a good day... just went on a Sunday drive - nothing crazy - got her up to maybe 5,500 to 5,900 RPM boost was good, no oil temp problems. Finished my drive and headded home maybe 45 minutes total. Got out to open the garage door and by the time I turned around, there was a HUGE CLOUD OF WHITE SMOKE coming out of the exhaust. I just had the car to the shop to do a complete tuneup - plugs, valve adjustment, oil change, everything looked find. As a matter of fact, she started and ran smoother than ever... any ideas of what happened???? - Ryan

Did you check the oil level and be sure it wasn't overfilled? I assume you know to check it w/ engine hot, on level ground, w/ engine idling.
If it's not overfilled, your turbo scavenge pump could have failed, or something to do with scavenge, cracked oil line from sump to pump, loose banjo fitting on pump, either of these would make the pump suck air and not empty the turbo sump, causing it to back up into the turbo. Scavenge issues seem to show up more at an idle, I guess the lower speed of the sump pump tends to aggrevate things...

Yep - Oil level perfect, maybe even a couple of ounces on the low side. I checked the lines and all seem to be fine. I just started her up when she was cool and not smoking nearly as much - maybe just a tad more than I would expect to see at cold start-up.... no odd engine noises, oil pressure at about 2.5 bars at idle...
