Help please, Certificate of Authenticity
Hello Porsche friends
One more time I need your help. Your suggestion regarding fixing my breaks on the 930 1976, worked perfect, thanks a lot. Now it is a different issue. When I bought the car from CA, The COA (Certificate of Authenticity) came along the car. I cannot figure following out: Please look at the picture below “Optional Equipment” What includes California Equipment? Is that a package special delivered in CA? And “Self starter” what does that mean. Cars from the 20 and 30’ties had self-starter, is this a special Self starter?? Thank you for your help, it means a lot to me. If any of your people have further information to the COA, you are most welcome to comment the COA. Best regards Jesper, Denmark

Not certain, but I'd guess that the "California Equipment" probably refers to emissions equipment required in California cars. Does your car have a sticker with these various options codes on the underside of the front hood? (My later car does.) I believe the "California Equipment" might be code C03.
Can't help on the "Self Starter."

![]() I believe A930Rocket reference is to a dual function distributor with boost retard and vacuum advance built in.

One other thing....
I think the timing, i.e. timing advance settings, were slightly different on the California engines.
