I saw a pic of that engine in the car. The IC was mounted in the left rear fender or something and had a bunch of tube. And the thing only made like 240 hp if I recall.

Once I zoomed in, I could finally make out a runner. Is the purple box driving the coils?

trials935 01-20-2015 07:15 PM

Yes, that's the twinplug electromotive.

Tippy 01-20-2015 07:27 PM

quattrorunner 01-20-2015 07:37 PM

That would be great. Really curious how this fits and works together.

Ken,
what version of 'old electormotive' twin plug ign did you use? the 930 clone project I got has that setup but don't recall the version.

sent you a PM. once I get into this project you will be hearing from me.:D

but need to finish the 951 DE project, OVR PCA midohio DE will be coming up soon.

best pic I have showing the electromotive. muffler case split and hot exhaust burned some wiring. pic is from when I first started pulling stuff apart. did a lot of repair, but then decided the engine / trans are coming out, full repaint, and full refresh on this beast.

Bob, pm sent.

Sure wish trials935 would post more info on this setup and how it performs. Looks like an aftermarket tail to allow the IC to be moved to the rear to allow room for the Carrera manifold and the CIS metering unit? Also it looks like it must have custom hard injector lines to accommodate the relocated metering unit. I wonder if he has to install the metering unit after the engine is in due to clearance issues in the front?

That's an Electromotive HPV-1 system.
