930 Engine "Help Please"!

Hi Guys!!

A good friend is building a mid 80's 930 engine and has a brand new set of 3.3 full finned o-ringed cylinders. Has anyone used these on an early 930 engine? If so, do you use the copper base gasket by itself or with o-ring, or with just the o-ring??

I think you may need to have grooves cut into the case for a proper seal. They appear to be 964 P/C and were used the help sealing issues in early 964 models. I would call Ollies in Lake Havassu for suggestions

Since you are in Fl.. call JB Racing. Speak with Mike Bruns. He is pretty darn good with these turbo engines! BTW, they are all at Sebring this weekend for the 12 hrs supporting Alex Job Racing... give them a call on Monday

hi i have the same p&c on my 930 i just used the o rings with a little sealer .Its been about 17k since the build no leeks karl
