930 Intercooler sources
Kokeln is out of stock on their 930 intercoolers with no plans to make more.
Is the anybody else that makes a decent intercooler for 930s? |

I got one from the B6 guys recently. I know there were some quality concerns with them in the past, but FWIW mine looks quite nice. Don't know about the fitment yet. It is the oversize 965 style. I was also happy with the packaging and shipping.

I happen to be working on one right now slated for production in about a month. It will fit, yes fit, all 930 from '78 to '89 and has provisions for monitoring equipment such as LM-x boost measurement, all CIS components from the various years and extra ports for use with 964T BOV transplants. Will clear A/C as well. The footprint is stock but taller.
Yes there will be less expensive alternatives, I won't suffer quality to get in that game. Will offer this to Pelican after a few are out there with successful feedback.

Brian,
Keep up the good work! Based on your wonderful best in class equal length headers alone, you may quickly become the new IA or PowerHaus! There is the need. I do not know but would it make any sense to look into taking over the Koklen production? Could buy the cast tanks and have Ben or Corky fab them with quality cores. On a side note, dose anyone know if the Andial/Garretson (sp) intercoolers are still available. I love there early period look. Especially the full bay Kremer style unit. |

Yes, we've been making intercoolers for the 1978-89 Turbos:
![]() TurboKraft : Catalog Home : 930 Thick Core Intercooler - $2,200.00 This flows a lot of air and supports more power than the CIS will support. The Garretson unit is sometimes available through Andial, and you can sometimes have a "Longneck" version made (but have to add the 25mm port for the C2T diverter valve yourself).

Another source that has been discussed on here is Bell Intercooler... they make custom ones for the 930. I got one priced out for my car awhile back, $1000 for a full bay.

That's true, but that's not a bolt-in for the 930. Additional fabrication is required. We had a person bring one into the shop for installation and it took a good day of work to mount and plumb it. Something to factor into your decision process.

Yes I will start a new thread on the subject when we are ready.
The unit will be a stock replacement and guaranteed to bolt up and perform. Price will be competitive.

Looks like a pretty nice full-bay unit just showed up on eBay. No affiliation with the seller.

Hi Phil,
I have an Kokeln intercooler for sale which came off my 3.3 engine. Call Chris Powell at Chris's German Auto Service here in Seattle @ 425-462-9296 to negotiate a price. Chris is also holding a 3.2 Carerra manifold which is also for sale. Ken |

Sneak Peek.
Still left is to add a gasket to seal the intercooler to the deck lid. You can see provisions for a boost sending unit, AAV, AAR, and 4 ports 1/8NTP for CIS and other accessories. Compatible with 930 or 965 BOV transplant. Will be available when testing is complete. Pricing to be determined, will be competitive.
