I have a cam tower from a sportomatic motor so it has the take off in the back for the sportomatic oil pump I wonder if the 930 scavage pump would bolt up and work

Care to show us a pic of how you did this on top of the motor, and what fittings you used? |
Unfortunately I cant take credit for it. It's Chris from TurboKrafts idea.

Nice! So there is already a threaded port there ready to accept an Earl's fitting of some sort? OR, did you have to tap it yourself?
Do you have all the specs for that fitting? Is it -8AN or -10AN? |
There's a sensor there (I don't remember which one) but its not needed. You can drill it out and re-tap it which is probably best, but I just drilled out the fitting a little, because it was too hard to remove the cover with the engine in the car. (which is an 8an) and it works perfect.

Didn't drilling it out whilst in the car cause metal filings to fall into the engine?

I drilled out the 8AN 90 degree fitting, not the piece on the engine. The 8AN 90's are actually slightly smaller than a straight 8AN, so I just opened it up a little bit. |
