New car INTRO -overdue
Hi Guys
I stumbled into this fantastic world of 930 ownership. After 35 miles of driving the car wouldn't start. Never mind that. It is covered in this thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/567151-my-1978-wont-start-help.html I just want to show you a couple of pictures of the car, some of you have probably seen it advertised here on PP. It is a 1978 930 with a 3.5 modded engine. The car has got some "Special Wishes" added to it. Sport seats with four point harnesses Roll cage Cibie lights. Not everyones taste, but I love'em The paint is ugly, and it will be repainted sometime in the future. It was suppodsedly painted flat black and was one of only two delivered in this SPEC. I'll dig into that later on. ![]() ![]() The seats need refurb. I send out the driver seat first to have the Webbing under cushion changed. It was rotten. The same goes for the other later on. The front wheels need balancing. Sp while waiting for the gurus to give feedback on the no-start situation. I decided to do something usefull. These are as close as brand new OEM 8 and 9 FUCHS. I bought them new in Germany on 06 -expensive. What do you think? ![]() I just bought Innovate XD-16 and LMA-3 that will be installed once this thing drives again. Enjoy your weekend Jesper

Looks awsome! Now I'm really distressed that she isn't running yet.

That car looks too cool to not be running. Now it's getting me annoyed.

Nice clean looking car, if you don't get your car running before mine, I'll fly over to help you!

You're more than welcome. Plenty of food and drinks, but I'll probably be over driving around in yours

Nice car, love the lights and love the color (although flat black would be cool especially if you can prove delivered in that color!) Personally I like the polished fuchs in the first pic, but I'm a little biased. There's enough great advice here that you'll get her back on the road in no time.

If there was any record of a car being delivered in flat or satin black I'll eat my hat...on that note, welcome and good luck getting her running again.
Nice car for the stable, this is a long term car so dig in and enjoy the ride.

Reaper, I thought you might say that. I don't know yet, but I think I might just make you eat that hat
The current paint job is ugly and wasn't a glass out job. When lifting the seals it sure does look flat black. Doesn't prove anything I know. I fo have CoA that says paint to sample/99, whatever that means. Right now color don't matter. Driving does Jesper Last edited by jsveb; 10-27-2010 at 08:15 PM.. |

Right now I don't let it see any boost (<0.2) until I get it sorted. Drives really smooth engine wise. Jesper |
