Gravity drain question

Guys,

Is it feasible to drain oil from two turbo's to the sump oil drain plug via a 10AN Tee?

If I have the two 10AN oil drain lines going into a 10AN Tee and then another 10AN line going to the sump oil drain port, will that cause any issues?

I assume the scavenge effect of the engine oil pump will suck the oil from the two turbo's reliably back into this oil drain port and NOT result in any oil backing up back into the turbo's?

Just considering options

If the turbos center lines are level with the centerline of the crank then it will work but not if the turbos are at the factory location. Raise the turbos and you will be fine. If not a scavenge pump is needed.

Thanks. The turbo's are on 993TT heat exchangers, so they sit fairly low.

Guess I'll need to find a scavenge pump solution

Tilton differential pump works really well. If not re work the heat exchangers and raise the turbos higher to the sides. I fabricated my headers and the turbos are high so I drain into the timing covers.

OUCH!!! Money must grow on trees where you are

I was actually thinking of going with two Borla S-Type mufflers in a similar configuration as GJF's, but with 2.5" pipes so it's quieter (pure street car)

Yea, I WISH!!!!! NO, but I wish money did grow on trees... It takes some money to do it the right way, and it also takes money to get quality sometimes.

Brian's collectors come close to Burns, but when I was getting the headers made, he did not have the collecotrs fabbed yet. Burns makes some really nice stuff....

Agree. If you want something done right, you have to be willing to spend a bit more $$$.
