As to the cam timing, I think there was a little room ( stock is 0.7mm if I remember correctly.... maybe it could have been delayed to 0.3mm or less ) As to the timing, I think it can be adjusted to 24° on boost without problem ( assuming fuelling & AFR curve are correct and injectors are in good conditions ) As to the power question, that's not easy to predict what the dyno will measure. However according to your descprition, it is reasonnable to think that you will get something between 320 and 330 rwhp ...........ah it's a gambling , so I bet on 322.5 :D:D;) |
Hi Thierry,
I like the way you think. Very logical. Maybe I should meet you at the Casino and see how we do? |
321 RWHP.....Good luck with your build and test!!!
|
301.5whp. Low rpms for top hp.
|
I would say 295 RWHP on the first pull. More after the dyno tune.
|
very much depends on dyno type
considering my 3LDZ'd POS w/ only a filter, dual-out RL8, and Garretson IC put down 286rwhp on a Mustang @ 0.87bar and 40*F, I'd think you'd put down more than some of the guesstimates above action pose (the foreground does nottttttt suck): https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-s...2/IMG_8275.JPG I'm with the higher end guesses I guess - put me in for 341.2 8-)... pretty useless guesses tho unfort w/o knowing if Mustang / Dyno Jet / Dyno Pak etc... Good luck, have fun! |
Hi Krasuskyp,
Thanks for that great photo. I'm trying to figure out how to post a photo while using my iPhone. I'll find put what type of Dyno my shop has. I see your color is red. |
|
Thanks again for the photos.
You really brighten up this monochromatic forum. Yep, mine is yet another Red 930. But yours looks cooler with the euro bumper or did you just take off your big black tits. Whoops, did I just say that? I wish I can figure out how to send photos. I'm always on my iPhone and I hate to use the laptop anymore. Do you have to upgrade a subscription. Getting back to colors, Porsche in the 70's had over 20 cool colors that you can order from the factory. The problem was, the dealers only order the safe colors. I had a 77 930 that was 'Ice Green' all the PCA guys loved it. 1987 Red 930 3.5L Long Island, NY. |
322, then when the engine loosens up, 334

I'm going to go with 303.5 RWHP in the summer heat. |
NY930-
ayup, I'm def multichromatic 8-) Mr. Merlin- I hear ya, I dig 'em too. I got a ton of buds w/ all sorts of cool ones. The dyno was @ EPL in CT here, that's the owner's car and it's pretty gnarly. Was totally tits @ Climb to the Clouds last month, the urQ guys gathered up ~19 of them together there - def badass. I've got friends w/ stockers, garage queens, rally cars... then AAN conversions pushing 400+++awhp. Love it... |
Any dyno results yet? Did I win.
|
Sorry guys the Dyno got seriously delayed.
But we are all winners when we share our advice and help others on this most valuable forum. I don't know how we got by in the 'old days' when I was struggling with an old rusty 356. Thank God for the Internet and this Forum, but most importantly, thanks to all of you who participate and lend their time and advice to others. |
