3.5L Horse Power Guessing Game - Step Right Up & Try Your LUCK !

Hi Guys,
I'm getting a Dyno next week and I wanted to poll your ballpark estimates on the estimated Horse Power.
I know there are a lot of variables for you to consider but this is just for fun to see how you all do.
I will post the winning estimate next week.
The winner will get an Honorable Mention posted after all the results are tabulated.
Feel free to ask questions and remember this is just for fun.
My 1987 930 Specs are as follows:
- 3.5L with higher compression pistons 7.5 to 1.
- Larger Half Bay Intercooler.
- Fresh K27 7200
- .8 Bar Spring (for the summer)
- Headers with Fabspeed muffler
- CIS
- Single Plug/Cylinder
- Stock Fuel Delivery
- Stock Heads
- Stock Cams
Is there anything else I can add?
Good Luck

I have a 3.5 but with more goodies and I run 16lbs with meth injection. I am in NY also. What part on N.Y are you from?

I think you are going to put down 320 rwhp.

NY930 07-20-2011 03:28 PM

OK, JBrown is in at 320 rwhp.
Wow,
I'd love to see your Baby !
I'm on Long Island. I hope you are not way upstate.

fletcher0780 07-20-2011 03:43 PM

I think JBrown has nailed it, but I will say 335 just to be optimistic

NY930 07-20-2011 04:02 PM

Gee Fletch, I hope your estimate of 355 comes true.
This is turning into a real horse race, no pun intended.

philip j 07-20-2011 04:15 PM

You guys...

make me laugh, which gets you 325 RHP. Philip

drmatera 07-20-2011 04:17 PM

I would say about 340rwhp @ .8 bar

vas930 07-20-2011 04:23 PM

Put me down for 330rwhp @.8

fredmeister 07-20-2011 04:47 PM

I say 328rwhp at that boost.
Watch your AF ratio and let us know what they read as well.
Good luck

E-man930 07-20-2011 04:50 PM

345 rwhp (+/- 5 hp)

Ollies930 07-20-2011 04:55 PM

NY930 07-20-2011 05:04 PM

Hi Ollie,
Thanks for the question.
I not sure what what Dyno set up my shop has but I'll ask tomorrow.

Yes ....... the cams & ignition timing ! :)

JFairman 07-21-2011 10:03 AM

Your mods will increase midrange torque more than horsepower because your cams are stock and your stock heads, injector blocks, and intake manifold have tiny 32mm intake ports.

My guess will be around 330 horsepower on a chilly day. Less than that if it's summer and in the 90's

edit: I mean 330 flywheel HP on a chilly day.

jsveb 07-21-2011 10:04 AM

337whp
Good luck.

NY930 07-21-2011 10:08 AM

Hi Thierry,
Thanks for your question.
I have stock cams and I'm embarrassed to say I do not know what my mechanic dials in. Maybe this could be a new thread.
In your opinion, what inanition timing would be best for my modifications?
Advice from all is welcomed.
