Help me pick a color
 

So I am in the later stages of my wide body 911 cab project. I was dead set on speed yellow but just lately I have been thinking of a metallic yellow instead. So I am in search of a great metallic yellow and can use your help. I like the lamborghini metallic yellow. Anyone know of any other car makers that have a great metallic yellow?

The S2K has a beautiful pearl yellow. I think you can see hints of the pearl in this pic.

BMW has Phoenix yellow, but it looks more gold to me. Not really a great color for a widebody.

I do like Phoenix yellow for the M3. Very cool color but very unique to the E46 M3.

There have been a few Ferrari Fly yellow 930's advertised over the years. They seemed to sit for sale for a LONG time...even an '89 sat for sale. If it were me, I'd consider that issue and maybe open up to other unusual tasteful colors (ie. Chiffon white or Meteor grey or Peru red or...). In the end, she's yours to choose but I could see bonzai yellow getting kinda old pretty quick. As always, YMMV.

I guess yellow is not for everyone. I have a red 996tt and a black 930t, so I thought it would be cool to complete the German flag with a yellow one. I am not married to it and will consider other suggestions as well.

I like the blue on the new Speedsters. I have been kicking around that blue or black for my the Speedster I am working on.

I have seen a Ferrari Fly Yellow 930 and I thought that it was spectacular! All of the black trim sets it off. You have to have the black centered Fuchs to get the affect I think.

What color is the interior? That makes a difference.

I do love that new blue speedster color.

Great color as well.
I kinda need to stick with the yellow because I have custom leather seats being made with yellow stitching and my engine is dressed in yellow as well.

I dunno about metallic yellow. Speed Yellows nice.
What about Gold or a Metalic Gold. " I can't believe I'm saying it, but think Ude & Kude AK-47 bling gold. " actually I'm not so sure.

A deep mid night purple, but you'd need to do it right or you get Barney on four wheels. It needs to be a fine metallic or pearl almost with a smokey clear and high gloss finish to give it that still water-ish look. Hmmm, Titanium could look nice too.
I keep toying with like a rose or 80's hot pink. Takes a confident man with a healthy package to sport that and not regret or feel like omg I'm regretting it all!

I love the look of a yellow Porsche. The beauty of the Ferrari Yellow is that it is pure yellow.

Nice pics. Thanks and I have always liked the bumble bee yellow/black combination. That Ferrari yellow is much brighter than speed yellow.

Just a note, I had a yellow Corvette that would attract bees when I was stopped at traffic lights. Not fun when the T-tops were off :)

I forgot about that! I remember being at a car meet and wearing a yellow shirt. Flying bugs of all kids seemed to be attracted to the yellow.

In the early ninties, when yellow cars were making a come back, I was really hoping it was just a passing fad, sadly I was wrong......And don't get me started with that baby puke BMW yellow.....of course these are only my slighted opinions.

With that being said, since you are maybe open to other colors?? Jeep has a interesting medium bright metallic green/gold-ish color out on the CJ platform, that would look sooo good with a black accented 930. Is yours is trimmed with black window frames, handles, wipers, etc.?

i have the metallic orange pearl lambo color myself , the one i like from lambo is off the murcielago yellow its a metallic pearl and its beautiful

its a 3 stage paint job....go with metallic pearl yellow on the murcielago

lambo has the best metallic paint jobs out there, when i was looking at lambos for my color i have seen the yellow at a dealership and WOW, you have to go to the dealerships and see it person, i did the whole color shoppping myself, orange won
