993 Turbo S wing on 930
Can anyone confirm that a 993 Turbo wing will fit on an '86 930. I could have sworn I've seen it done but just want to make sure before I buy.

Not without modification. It doesn't fit the opening so needs to be cut and mounting needs to be fabricated...at least mine didn't, maybe there is one out there that does

You would be better off buying the 3.6 LTD wing from a place like Getty Design which would bolt right on... Regarding the 993TT wing, I have seen it done before, some fellow in Rennlist did it years ago. Lots of cutting, mocking up, using foam blocks to reshape it, and finally relaying the fiberglass. Then repeat if its not up to par.

fitment has been less than good. Maybe good for a race car but the work we have into is far from what it needs to look right on the car.

in the second pic you can see card board on the window. That side of the wing sticks up so high we have been sanding it down to try and get it close to looking right. The base of the wing just above the reflector fit horribly and has to be re-done to fit better.

Oh wow...that's a bummer that it needs lots of work to make it fit correctly. Now I understand why you're looking at alternatives.

You should keep your factory steel decklid and just swap out the actual spoiler - carbon if wou are worried about weight. That takes care of fitment and body / wear & tear issues on a street car.

Hmm, I may consider it depending on how much you want for it. I'm afraid that shipping will cost $$. Shoot me a me PM.

Thanks for the lead... That would be perfect if the under hood dimensions are equal to or greater than a stock turbo tail. It appears to slope down as it goes back, hopefully won't interfere with my intercooler
