Bello's 8 Sec Attempt
After months of testing and changes, we are finally ready to attempt to break the current Porsche 1/4 Mile World record. We have done a lot of changes but there's one particular change that I feel will catapult this thing down the track, and that's the addition of the Guard Differential not to mention the magic touch of Extreme Cylinder heads work.
Currently we have the car set up at 1250rwhp with 35psi of boost, so tomorrow October 23 2011 is the day..............So we think Wish us luck!!! My prediction is 8.96@172mph ![]() ![]() Within the Porsche performance community Eddie Bello stands alone with this kind of versatility. He currently holds the world record for the Texas Mile (236.6mph) and the world record for the fastest and quickest “Porsche” in the ¼ Mile(9.17@162mph) Eddie’s ability to build, tune, and drive his way to records should be no surprise once understanding the amount of dedication he has committed to the perfection of his race program. Current Records 2011 NSCRA True Street ¼ mile 9.29 @ 164.5mph 2010 Texas Mile 236.64mph Sponsors The Drive Shaft Shop Turbo Wax Tial Turbo Spec Clutches JE Pistons Dr Cams Hawk Brake Pads GT Guard Transmissions

No good news, lady luck never came to help us. We struggled all day trying to find an unexpected gremlin all day, at the end of the day, the pin that holds the damper broke. Therefore, the crank sensor was not reading correctly, and the car was misfiring very bad. Not today.............

No, but we want to put an automatic transmission
Right now we feel we have what it takes, but apparently lady luck has other plans.

Juan, sorry to hear about the gremlins, but I was there on Saturday and the track was slick as ice. Not sure it would have been the "day"

The track was so bad that they made the 7sec cars run 1/8 mile
but is easy to blame the track, at the end of the day we are failing

That's too bad. Maybe next time.
I'm still waiting for you or Eddie to correct the OS Giken's people's claims over on Rennlist. They've basically called Eddie a liar...
