Original Blaupunkt?
Hi,
Does anyone know which Blaupunkt model came with the '86 930. I recently purchased a beautiful, all-original 86 930. Only thing aftermarket is a 1990's alpine deck. I'd like to find an original Blaupunkt to put back in it, I just don't know which model. Thanks! |

Hey FirstDotLast,
Thanks, thought that was it but just needed confirmation. Here are some pics of the 86 930 I bought. I've had it since October. John ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice. But of course since it is a 930. I like the big caddy also John.

Thanks oil. I can't take credit for the caddy. It's one of many cool cars in a storage area.

My '87 came with a Los Angeles SQR-48. When I say "came with", I mean came with one in a box. In the dash is something made for Panosonic in probably China for Japan for the US markets.
Either way, my LA Blaupunkt is caput...since it cannot function without the security code...which unfortuately isn't floating around in the box anywhere.

Hey, isn't "kaput" spelled with a "k"???
Anyway, I have an original Blaupunkt subwoofer if you are interested in that. Are you sure you want to go with the stock head unit? You can't charge an iPhone from it and it probably has a tape deck. I tried to locate an original '86 unit and ended up going with a subtle Pioneer that plays my iTunes and charges the phone. Only about two bills also. Plus, I imagine your stock harness is already hacked to he11 so it's probably more work. There is a guy in Canada that is selling period correct BP rear speakers in case you need them. He's on evil bay. Let me know if you need his name. Good luck in your endeavor!!!

QUOTE] I've never been any good spelling in the Mother Country's tongue. The only German word I can spell is Porsche. So instead of kaput, I should have said my radio is fubar (without the code, anyway).
