Center Console Upgrade pic

I installed this 993 style center console from Better Bodies Motorsports and I love it, great fit and finish , It really updates the cabin,

it goes all the way to the trans hump in the rear, ( like a 964/993 )

Nice. Did it come covered or did you have to do that?

Yeah looks great I have a custom 964 one on my car, but is a pia to get to the shift coupler. Is it easily accessible with this one?

That looks great. I have one in the garage that I am going to install. The toughest part so far is the getting the 930 S console that is in the car out.

I am at the point where all the little hidden screws are out and the face of the old console is out, but it looks like I am going to have to pull the shifter to get the console out of there.

It looks like the shifter should come out if I remove the clip at the base of the shifter. Did you have to do that? Any advice would be appreciated.

I am adding two AC vents along with the AC and Fan controls and the hazard and rear window defogger. Can you post another pic showing what you included in the panel.

These pics will get me back out into the garage again....thanks I needed this

How do you address the relocation of the HVAC controls, power locks and hazard light switches?

That does look great.

I'll get more pic's this weekend , it was a 5 min install, the panel is held on by two screws on top, and is removable for necessities like switches and gauges , it also come fully upholstered in blk ,shift boot and all. if you want it in a different color, you have to supply the materials. if you want to see pic's go to 9xauto.com,they also sell them. But Better Bodies Motorsport makes them and has a much better price if you buy it direct from them . very very happy with it .

As far as relocating the switches, there is ample room on the new console's panel, but no extra room. The only thing I may mount elsewhere is the switch for the doorlocks. That is an interesting switch that takes up a lot of room behind the panel, so I might buy a switch to do the same job as the original and mount it on the side of the console near my right knee.

I am replacing the fan control with a Griffiths variable fan control...that should make the AC system more enjoyable.

As I said earlier, taking out the 930S console is a b***h. Once I get the shifter out, the rest should be easy.

Heliolps2, please do post more pics.
