engine turn clockwise?...
engine is out of car and i need to turn it over a couple times,....
am i right, if i am facing the fan, the engine turns clockwise? |

Yes, with the socket on the Fan Nut, you go clockwise.
The Fan has to go CW to draw the air in.

Most engines turn clockwise. Per definition you have to stand on the side without the clutch and look onto the engine.
This means that you are absolutely correct concerning the Porsche engine because the clutch is at the forward end and you are standing at the rear end looking onto the engine. To give you just another example, if you have a standard built car with the engine in front an tranny to the rear you have to look from the front to the rear to determine the clockwise direction.
