Stupid question on emergency flasher

Okay - restoring a 78 930 roller that I purchased. Tub up restoration. Heavy mods. Anyway, the P.O. cut wires, had some labeled (which are unreadable) etc. I have the service manuals with full electrical wiring diagrams. Rewired the headlights - working fine.

So here is the question: When the emergency flashers are on - which lights on the front are flashing - the turn signal lights, the side lights or both?

Right now - I have one side with the turn signal flashing and the other side its the side marker light. WTF?

Both the turn signals and the markers should flash.
