Help adjusting suspension 85 targa
Hi folks. New member here working through an Oem restore of an 85 targa that's in halfway decent shape. The po lowered the car and I am trying to put it back to us specs. The pelican parts 101 projects book describes that the bolt closest to the torsion bar is the set bolt and the one next to it adjusts the suspension.
However I have two problems: 1. The one closest to the torsion bar spins both ways while the one next to it seems to tighten and loosen like a regular bolt. 2. Neither one moves the car up or down. I spin it once or twice and measure the bottom of the wheel fender from the ground and no change. Am I losing my mind? Thanks. Mel. |

Hi Pete. Yup. I have the same information. The problem is that turning the height adjustment bolt doesn't raise or lower the car. Do I have to do something else other than just turn the bolt? Maybe the 85 930 just isn't adjustable...

You'll need a special thin profile wrench (can't rem. what size it is) on the back side of the eccentric for the adjustment. The nut just locks it in place after the adjustment.

I think you'll get much more response, if you post on the tech section.
