Cost for Speedo rebuild
I did a search but could not find any info. Has anyone sent a speedo out to be rebuilt and if so how much did it cost?
thanks Mike

North Hollywood Speedometer and Palo Alto Speedometer plus I think Pelican rebuilds them also.
Here is a thread if you want to do it yourself. Read the whole thread as there are better ways to remove the needle instead of trying to pull it straight off. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/196987-odometer-gear-replacement-electronic-speedometers-long.html

I did mine myself. It was one of the easier jobs on these cars.

I rebuilt mine, all it needed was a small drive gear for the odometer. Took about 2 hours. If I had to send it somewhere I would send in to Hollywood spedo.

i had both speedos rebuilt in the p cars..the 930 this past monday. i use a shop in north atlanta called Hamps. Hamp (real name) turned mine around in 2 hours for $150. Beats me having to ship mine and Hamp has been doing this for 30+ years on all cars.
