Curious Why This Has Not Sold?

This car has been for sale for quite some time and looks like alot of $$$ spent. I know it is a bit much for many potential owners with the mods, but I dig it and some of the mods are easily tamed down. Just wanted your take.

Heavily modified cars are always suspect and the seller very rarely gets their money out of it. I'd buy it for $40k.

Beautiful car and most likely could not be duplicated for the $70k he is asking. But as usual in the performance car market money spent on mods is lost not gained.

its RED!

the mods, who did them, the "boom box" mounted inside, not sure about some of that body work, i would have to see how it was done/quality. waaaay too much. as said, 40k, maybe 45 if i could drive it first.

when engines are modded this much and have that much HP, it gets scary as far as what you are getting. is it a ticking time bomb?

I find it hard to believe that this car puts out 800 hp. How can you do this with stock looking rubber 90 degree Carrera inlet boot at the 3.2 intake manifold? Sorry...I would not touch it even for 40k unless there's something I don't know about.

Too heavily modded, a frankenturbo is always a hard sell for the reasons outlined above.

Too personalized! The unusual front end body work modifications, are liable to turn most people off. No matter if it's functional or not, if it's too fugly it's hard to get past.

Makes for a tough sell.

I wondered about that rubber boot too.

Car looks good though.

I think this car was built in New Jersey.

Azevedo Motorsports

There use to be videos on the website of it doing burn outs up and down the road in front of the shop.

I did buy a carbon hood off of it many years ago. If you watch the home screen the turbo will scroll across. Looks cool but 800hp may be a stretch.

The under hood pic may be during mock up. Can't make power assumptions based on that.

My guess would be that it's just too far from stock to have much real-world market appeal. I think most 930 buyers - even those who like performance mods - would find that this car is just too far removed from the spirit of what Porsche's designers and engineers intended to be very desirable. Is it cool? Ya, I think so. Is it so cool that I'd prefer it over one that looks like it did when it left Deutschland? Not a chance!

If the stereo was ripped out, I think it would help sell the car and second, quit claiming the ridiculous 800whp.

Besides being overdone, too many questions on how it was done. Where is a dyno sheet to prove the power? You don't make that kind of power with out a dyno tune.
Where are pictures of that super rare 935 gearbox? Who puts a 935 gearbox in a car without special ratios and an LSD? Why no mention of these things?
Maybe it really is all that and a slice of bread. But it is so poorly represented that most people won't get past the ad and reach out to the seller to find out more.

I know I'm new to porsches , but it cracks me up whenever there's something different than a stock porsche everyone gets all nuts,I'm sorry but when we had all those cool car posters on our walls as kids there was never a stock porsche. It was always something radically built, If the original poster likes it then more power to you. Thank goodness were all individuals otherwise we might not have anything to rip on. You won't find this kind of anal retention in any other car forum not even alfa owners. But hey to each there own

You will certainly find this kind of behavior on vintage Corvette forums to a far greater degree.

I don't mind a modded porsche, but the op was pondering why it hadn't sold. Hence the responses.

With your new avitar, I would say that those TT's have perked up your interest in moving on to bigger and better P cars. Did I just see that you sold your 930?

This car is pretty local to me, so if anyone is really interested I can take a look...I wouldn't mind an excuse to see it in person.

If you read my remarks I said nothing negative out the car. My remarks were negative about a poorly written ad which leaves significant questions about the truth of the claims.
