Brake leak. Need help.

Changed out my lines to SS braided ones. Filled up the MC with fluid. Attached my Motive bleeder to the cap. Tried to pressurize and it would not hold pressure. Look under my car and my fluid is dripping from this little hose in front of the drivers side wheel. No fluid in the boot. Can't find leaks. Any suggestions?

The dark black line in the picture is the hose

LOL if you read the directions in the service manual you will see that you are supposed to pinch closed the vent line on the brake resevoir. Other wise it runs out that line you have dripping under your car and all over the driveway. Been there done that.

Botta Bing.

I have been there too. This is the reason.

I pull off the vent hose and put on a plugged piece of hose when I use the Speed Bleeder when doing my brakes.

Its funny but most other manufacturers have sealed systems more or less. They use rubber diapragms built into the cap to allow for pressure equalization when fluid level drops or rises where Porsche allows outside air to come in contact with the fluid via the vent line. I never understood this because it seems like a bad idea.

Yes. This was the problem. I thought it was my bleeder so I went to the hardware store and bought new clamps. But at least it was a silly issue. Love this site.
