At the risk of sounding stupid...

What, is a "WUR"?

thats funny, BOSCH calls it a warm up regulator. i think its best to stick to that name as most call it a WUR, so why confuse people.
plus, i dont think it is much of a regulator. a true regulator maintains a constant output for a varying input. i would be currious to see if a WUR could maintain 3.5 bar with 4 bar input and 6bar input.

The function is control pressure regulation; warm up is only one part of that function, along with cold, cruise/idle, and boost.
It is a bit odd that they call it a WUR instead of CPR.

but how well does it "regulate"?
if you change the system pressure, does the control pressure change with it?
i thought the lack of regulation was the reason you calibrate the WUR to the FD it will be used it due to the slight variations between system pressure of FD's

The regulation points and warm up curve are static via electrical, heat, and vacuum/boost input. Yes the entire range is affected by system pressure input. The regulation that occurs is the change in control pressure during cold (low) warm up (low to high), warm (high) and boost (low). The specifications of these pressure ranges can be changed via the adjustment mod or statically to accommodate increased fuel needed beyond the stock settings.

Ty, Why are you looking for a WUR, I thought BrianB was rebuilding your WUR?

I sent mine directly to BrianL....took two weeks.

BL is no longer building them. He is finishing up a few we had in the pipeline but it is taking longer than anticipated.

I just purchased a rebuild WUR from SpecialTauto.com in Texas. I sent them my core and the charge was $370. 2 year warranty. I haven't installed it yet

Rebuilding is not the problem, it is modification. I haven't done the machining in years and an I'm no longer set up for it.
