Low and wide

Here's what I want to do with this 930 build, keep the engine fairly stock but lower the car and put wide wheels on the car and tune the suspension for optimal old school handling. After watching the Magnus Walker turbo fever video on youtube I had an epiphany!
Who can modify oem Fuchs to 17" and make em wide?

Old school handling would be with fat 15's, more side roll through the corners. With 15's or 17's your limits would be 11-12" wide rims with a 335 tires.
Zuffenhaus makes wide 17's.

I've seen the Lindsey wheels, they do look nice. I thought there were a couple of other shops that did the same thing.
15/16s would be old school for sure, as a practical matter tires are a major issue, I don't want to deal with hence the 17s.

If your keeping the stock steel flares, I would go with the zuffenhaus wheels. all new, forged, and proper barrels that still look like fuchs. not just fuchs centers in bbs barrels. the stepping and lip never look quite right imo.

I just got mine back from Jim at True design. Took awhile but well worth the wait.
Really nice guy and very reasonable prices.

8-)

kinda gotta laugh - you only just had this epiphany... after watching Magnus' video?

and

the look is more important than spending that same spend on say headers / IC which make the car immeasurably more drivable?

we've all got our priorities I s'pose 8-)

you can also buy them directly from Fuch still. as far as i can tell its the same company that made the originals? i am sure they have been bought and sold a few times and become more corporate but they would be new and original? OTTO FUCHS KG: Wheel Shop

has anyone bought a set of these yet?
