Mystery Switch on dash

I know this sounds funny but after owning this car for 1 1/2 years I just found a small switch along the bottom of the dash just left of the steering wheel and 2inches to the right of the power roof switch. I have no idea what this switch does and like the sunroof switch there is no embossed figure on the switch. Any ideas?

If you have power mirrors it may control which one you are adjusting with the nipple.

Does it look factory? ... that is often the place for a ignition cut of / anti theft switch to be located ..

Headlight washers? I'm not at all sure of this . When I discovered this switch I looked it up in my owners manual. It was there. I have since forgotten what it does

if it switches left to rt instead of front to back then very likely this one.
porsche was kinda funny about the dash. they did not go and rediesign it, thank goodness, so they just started sticking switches where ever they could find to put one. a lot dont look factory just because of how haphazardly they are put in.

My car is an 85 and the switch is definitely factory. I looked at a downloadable owners manual from an 87 but I found nothing there.

The switch does "flip" left to right. I'll try the mirrors.

It's for adjusting the side mirrors, one position is for the left mirror and the other for the right one, using the adjusting knob.
