Chinook, I sent you his email address (different than the one noted above) via private message last night.

Just heard back....he has my WUR and work is commencing. Super stoked!

kostya.lyt 08-25-2014 07:05 AM

I e-mailed him on Saturday at the info@930wur.com e-mail address, no response yet. I'm getting antsy!

Uncle 08-25-2014 07:56 PM

Good stuff.
I've just emailed him too. I had my car on the dyno yesterday to get a base line before I do any mods and it would seem I also very much need his help. Once I start to build boost the Lambda graph falls off a cliff!

I am debating should I get it and $650 is not a small change for me, unfortunately...

Also, does it work the same way for older 930s (mine is '78, modified with Tial 46 (1 bar spring),) Kokeln turbo and IC, BB stainless full exhaust, enhanced Fuel Distributor) and 1985+?

Short version: it works way better than anything else commercially available right now.

We installed the other company's electronic WUR -- that's our red '82 930 on the dyno on their website -- and it took about 3 hours to tune, start to finish.

Installed Brian Leask's WUR for comparison and got the same results in less than 45 minutes. Actually, we got slightly better upper rpm power with the Leask WUR.

Core WURs

Shameless plug:

If you want to keep your original WUR stock and have a 2nd unit modified by BL, TurboKraft has various core WURs available for sale, 1976 through 1994.

Uncle 08-26-2014 03:44 PM

And how much might this cost Chris?

I might be better off doing this rather than sending my WUR over to the U.S for him to do and then sending it back.

kenikh 08-26-2014 08:00 PM

I'm getting the feeling Brian is wondering WTF all of these 930 WUR orders came from this week...

Uncle 08-26-2014 08:33 PM

LOL he just got back to me this morning. Given you guys are about 12 hours behind us I'd think he has been flat out!

Gave me some good feedback/advice and is more than happy to help.

kenikh 08-28-2014 10:02 PM

Mine is done! Bravo, Brian!

So I bought a core WUR from Chris at Turbokraft, he shipped it directly to BL, who rebuilt it and modified it to my specs for my planned upgrades and shipped it to me. All within 3 weeks from Turbokraft's shop to my door.

Nice!

Thanks for the feedback around my difficulty seeking out BL. Have already made contact and it took about a week for Brian to modify and return ship with some nice advisory emails in between. Exemplary service.

reminder this is still for sale. it does have the wur, which can be sent to BL for his upgrade. the euro fuel head and bigger lines(it does include the throttle body..not pictured) are a plus for those with a bigger intercooler. heck pull you entire system(from the manifold up)..store it for when the time comes to return to stock. $1350.00 or best offer plus shipping

Another good job from Brian here. Just can't say enough good things. Helped me out no end and even posted it to Australia before I'd even had a chance to pay him!
