How low is too low?

So here it is. Back finished at 24.25 from ground to fender lip. A friend had machined spacers for the new Tarret adjustable sway bar. Works of art for mere spacers. We had spent the previous hr putting them and and welding up a crack in the weld of one the lower torsion bar tube bolts. On the passenger side I had pulled out the jack stand and had my hand on the outside of the wheel as he lowered the floor jack slowly to line the studs up with the holes. In the blink of an eye the jack dropped all at once all the way down with the weight of the car pinning my hand between the fender lip and the tire as he was trying to get it jacked back up maybe a second or two at most. I had a coat and work gloves on. Out in the sun to access the damage I expected a gush of blood deep cuts etc. I could move all my fingers, little blood, how effing lucky. Karma man I'm telling you.


Of course I shouldn't have had my hand on top but whew. I'll get some pics of the trick looking setup one of these days

That's a heck of a point, because jacks are ALL peculiar when releasing pressure... I have three jacks and all release differently. Even though I know them, sometimes I have to look/confirm which one has the load before turning the handle...

I'm not sure that color could be pulled off on any other p-car like that. Beauty
