Unfortunately it is being detuned to about 550whp for warranty on the engine and being safe. After what i have gone through, i will take what ever i can get at this point. LOL

Dear mother of......

What the hell ya got in that to make 630 to the wheels at 1 bar?!?!

What dyno system is that?

16Volt 10-22-2014 12:35 PM

DynaPack dyno. Neat system.

TurboKraft 10-22-2014 12:43 PM

Dynapack chassis dyno.
Nice numbers! Fun build with strong torque by 3,000rpm and revs past 6,500rpm.

This explains it! On the other hand with regard to(compared with) the power engine I find that the engine torque is not so high. :)

Great numbers

Please share your engine spec

empire0007 10-24-2014 10:10 AM

We started with a 964 case. Potter Rods, ported to 3.8L. GT2 Evo Cams. Assco 993 Welded heads with all their quality stuff. 993 RSR Porsche motorsports 3.8L piston and cylinder (originally 8.35-1 compression, but was changed to 7.8-1 compression). the engine is has twin Garret 3071 with custom GKS hotside on it. We are usinmg a redline system.

The engine was put together at 911Design and tuned by Lance @redline himself.

I have a question for all of you guys with high horsepower.

I have heard that anything over 550WHP for aircooler engine will damage the motor, unless you have the flat fan, like the 935 engine? Do any of you guys run that kind of power on track? If so how much power and how long has the engine lasted? The head is the issue from my understanding?

turbobrat930 10-24-2014 10:41 AM

If you are worried about CHT's, why not run E-85? Or E-100? You will get more power.... awesome fuel

empire0007 10-24-2014 10:55 AM

I do have a methonal system setup also, but have not used it and the shop is not intersted, as the car is making very good power without it.

If you even consider using methanol spray,
a) have the ECU control it
b) do not run Brad Penn oil.

Here is my dyno, 3.3 piston GT3 crank Twin plug Single Garrett GT35 done by Turbokraft!!

It's fun to drive!!!

kenikh 10-24-2014 09:52 PM

Do tell why no Brad Penn! Although I won't be running it my 930, I do run it in my 66 and SC.

empire0007 11-09-2014 09:10 PM

I didn't get an email from you?
