3L CIS injectors

Are 3L 930 injectors interchangeable with any other Bosch injector?

I see Mercedes injectors are a fraction of the price?

Thought I should ask before splashing out.

Yes they are. The "gold" Mercedes injectors are rumored to flow as much as the -009 Porsche Euros but I've never tested that personally. We put the -009 injectors in everything.

Do the Mercedes gold injectors screw in with 10x1mm threads like 930 injectors?

This is the kind of detail that sends me to the spare parts stack for a look. I found that my original injectors (1977) are 009 and the boxes that the replacements came in are marked with a Bosch number ending in 017. Are the 017 injectors that Porsche sells as replacements for the 009s are not as good?

The 017 are the US injectors, 009 are Euro injectors. Yes the Euros are capable of more flow but do you need it?

No, I don't need more flow. But, I wonder whether there are other differences besides the maximum flow. BTW, what is the difference in maximum flow?

I believe 009's are ROW and early US cars, 017's are for the fuel starved 86 and newer cars.

A 77 model should have 009 injectors.
