Anyone replaced the sealing frame on the intercooler?
I have a 91 stock turbo and the frame that mates to the rubber seals on the hood is bent. I can either straighten this one and powder coat it or buy a new one but either way I have to drill out what Porsche calls a blind rivet on each end of the intercooler and then re-install it. Not sure where the end of the rivet will go in the intercooler once I drill it out. Will not go in it but will be lose in each end. Any experience on this one out there?
Thanks

Yes.
On the ones we've done, that rivet head stays in the fins, doesn't rattle around. Non-issue.

Hi Chris,
Is there room for another rivet to re-attach? BTW I'm still very happy with your head work on my car! Thanks
