Is a Ducktail enough to hold the back down at the sort of speeds this beast is capable of? I would have thought at the very least a whale tail would have been needed or a wing on struts like a GT3RS.

I've had mine up to 240km/h (150mpg) and actually the faster you go the more stable it gets. It's likely a combination of the flat under-tray of the 964, the front splitter and the ducky.

For this car I think the bigger issue will be at lower speeds rather than at top speed i.e. getting traction when it comes on boost in 1st and 2nd when there is not enough airflow and therefore downforce.

The 180deg is 3x3 bends, zero affect on backpressure, and x-pipes are not needed post-turbo.

Engine specs:
4.0L lightweight billet crankshaft + rods + ultra-light pistons -- all designed for this Turbo engine
Xtreme cylinder heads
Performance coatings throughout -- thermal barrier, low friction, DLC, etc.
BMF camshafts from Edelweiss
ITBs with TurboKraft's billet airhorns & plenums, full width intercooler on quick disconnects
Garrett GTX ball bearing turbochargers + full stainless custom exhaust
AEM Infinity engine management, coil-on-plug, ID injectors, ultra light fuel hose for gas+e85

Remanufactured and reinforced C4 drivetrain

Custom air suspension by Airdynamiks, plus Accuair eLevel digital management

Brembo Club Race big brakes coming

Lots of go power, stopping power, and handling for a 964 with 1973RSR-inspired bodywork.

If that thing doesn't achieve 4-digit hp, it's time to close shop.

We all know it will with some moderate boost.

Making 1,000+ horsepower really isn't all that difficult.
But we have to be cautious with how much we make. There is greatly conflicting information on how much the G64 transaxle and front differential can withstand.

Yah, but when it comes to boost you have a different interpretation of the word "moderate" than most

Whoa, I missed the AWD thing.

Can a G50 be put it in place or a 996TT trans and diff?

Or are those G64 items?

No, very soon.
Have to make some adjustments to the turbo system to accommodate the backdate bodywork.
Also due to the unique one-year-only 1989 bellhousing, we have to make another modification in order to accept a later version clutch which is much stronger yet has normal moderate pedal effort.

Gorgeous work. What is the volume of the plenums, I'm assuming 2L minimum? It looks like the air enters the main plenum through a slot similar to the dual plenums used on the old Audi rally cars? Much better for even distribution vs. just coming in on the end.
