Hey Craig, I've been running that exact turbocharger for about 6 years or so - really like the early & linear spool characteristics and how it just keeps on blowing ( ) at high RPMs

My first one only lasted 10 minutes (5X as long as Paul, so I hear ) - after rebuild has been blowing for 6-7 years or so.

I didn't own it when it was done, so I don't know the cost. Sorry.

That looks nice and sounds like a nice upgrade to my K27 7200. Is this a direct bolt on replacement for the K27 7200?

I have a k27HF that i am thinking of selling if anyone is interested. I went EFI and use a GT35 now...
I think the K27HF is one of the best turbos for CIS cars....

Durabilt overhauled my K27/K29 hybrid last summer. The turbine impeller had FOD so I had it replaced. $1000 plus shipping.
If your's isn't damaged it should cost less than that.

So is this K27 Hyflow the same as the K27/29 hybrid? As a direct replacement to my K27 7200 what difference would I expect from this turbo? Does it increase power or just extend the powerband?

My K27/K29 gave more torque everywhere on the curve. Boost onset increased by 100 rpm which is a small price to pay.

This HyFlow hairdryer sounds like garbage with all the failures so soon after installation.
What's with the garbage parts? Why can't they sell a good quality part right out of the box? |
