top end oil leak fix?

Hey all, I've got a nasty oil leak on the pass. side where the cam tower meets the heads. It's coming from a spot about an inch long. I already inspected and there are NO broken head studs, so that isn't the problem. Seems to be just the cam tower gasket has split or gone south.

Can one just remove that cam tower and reseal it all?

Yes I know this requires an engine drop, no big deal there, been there done that, and yes I will buy the correct cam sproket removal tool.

Rollin on Dubs, no gasket there . . . only sealer. Yamabond 4 (or equivalent, like Hondabond - think both are a three bond variant that is simply renamed) works really well there. Other goo options that work, too. And yes to your actual question.

Yep, no gasket.. just sealer...

You can also do this just by lowering the motor down, sans a full drop.. And yes, tower can be removed separately.

Probably already checked.. however if not, check the triangle and make sure its not a broken hose or pissing sending unit.

Thanks guys, I thought as much, but good to get confirmation.

Triangle of death is dry, no worries there.

This leak is not subtle, barely leaks with the engine running, but makes a puddle when you shut her down.
