Cool Photos of Pelicans' Turbo

I thought why not repost some cool photos of Pelicans' turbo that we come across. I know that 930potd thread already exists but that thread are for supposely new photos. I hope you are not offended Paul (the creator of 930potd thread)!! . So let's post up some old Pelican turbo photos.

Here's a few:

Turboo934 (this is one of my favorite photo...what happened to its owner Robert?)

Miguel Antonett (awesome brown 930...I hope you are still around Miguel)

Cole930 (just gotta show this so as to never forget Mr. Cole)

There are many others I will post up over time meanwhile let's see what you come across.

Going way back for this one- Brent930 was one of the original DIY guys that got the 930 over 425+ with CIS.

I am alive and well, was at the 24 hrs. of Le Mans. Then to the Porsche factory to rescerche the interior of Gmund S.L. Christine is having her fender repaired and painted one color. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wavey.gif

I know the car is a boss, racer now, so at least it's not in a barn somewhere, covered in tarps!

Well from what I remember Gabe simply lost passion for his build at the time when its body and paint work was not quite complete. I think too many people did not give him the respect he deserved for trying to make a K3 clone which is not a cheap/easy task.

Mike, I also remember that Gabe got effed over, for big money, by a few shops that were involved with the build (like Lincoln - pre TK involvement) - that will suck the passion right out of you, for sure (not like THAT! )!

The whole D-Zug scene was an interesting chapter to be sure. Seemed like good guys that sort of had a really cool tree-house for awhile and then moved on with their lives.

I remember Gabe's build thread like it was yesterday - started out as a standard Turbo body on roids and then morphed into the K3 replica. I also remember how ole' Cole posted in there saying that following that thread helped him get through chemo treatment.

robert... i luv this car! i saw your car in cali about 10 years ago and took a few snap shots. what a refreshing alternative of seeing too many stock 930 polish up for cars just for the sole porpuse to drive to cars n coffee these days

This is turning into a great retro thread, tributing a fantastic bunch of guys. Some lost, some simply moved on in their lives.

Thumbs up.

There are lots of friends that I used to enjoy their contributions and banter on the Rennlist 930 Group...most have all moved on...sadly. I have a list of at least 10 people that I remember from 10+ years ago.

Lots of names have changed. I remember when Michael and I were part of the first 25 members of the Rennlist Email board. Shesh where has time gone.

You bet. 911Turbo.com then we started Turbo911.com. That was actually a very time consuming pain in my arse! I was better at building engines then administrating a board!
