930TT...Project finished(widowmaker)

Finally got back to the dyno. I stopped @25psi. Car was at 700whp / 600tq. Oh and it's at 7:1 compression with conservative timing. My buddy Louie shot some footage so there's a video for your viewing pleasure after the pic

Very very cool! Beautiful build. I really liked the video but it needs to be longer! So, you have your marching orders... :)

flashgordon64 08-23-2016 09:26 PM

flashgordon64 08-24-2016 09:48 AM

No I haven't and probably won't. At this point I have no interest in that stuff, Hell, I didn't even bother to grab a copy of the dyno sheet:) I just wanna have fun and enjoy the car. :)

Mitch

What a great build. So glad you didnt do any RWB nonsense.

-Levi- 08-24-2016 10:00 AM

so that build looks incredible! and the car is on point! but, with 700 hp your video isn't going to cut it.... lets see some power runs!!!!!!!!!!

What's the 0-60...LOL.

When this thing is at full boil, being the pilot, is likely an ischt-storm of continuous and incredibly rapid steering, throttle, clutch and gear change inputs as the car is shifting weight coming on and off boost...

A symphony of speed and lunacy! Just the way I'd have my Targa if I could afford a like set-up, color me green.

The better question may be, how fast does it clock 40-140?

Tippy 08-25-2016 06:50 AM

Hello Mitch and congratulations for the work carried out(achieved) on your Porsche !
I have a small question, is it necessary to handle (ceramic coated skirts) the combustion chamber and the head of pistons when we are 100% in E85?
One thank you for your complete list.
:)

onboost 08-30-2016 07:33 AM

Mitch,

It would be great if you could bring the beast out to the PCA National Open House on 17- Sept.

No, that was included as standard with the pistons. And the E85 was something I decided on later in the build along with a lot of other things.

I may just do that. It's not far from me.

Pat RUFBTR 08-30-2016 08:58 AM

Thank you Mitch, I had asked you for it because my friend who works at Renault Sport advised me pistons with a treatment(processing) graphité in case I would pass in E85, he advised it to me for a better reliability because E85 is very corrosive.

This is the best stuff ever made for that IMO. I run my 911 on E98 and put 4oz in every tank.

Juan hurry up with your build so we can go "play" this fall. I want to see if my tune can handle the Bello tune. I'm getting really dialed in:D

Thank you for the link Mitch, xbmwguy you also put this additive for your 930? :)

flashgordon64 08-31-2016 08:42 AM

I actually use sta-bil marine e85 products. Haven't had any fuel related issues, knock on wood

Mitch

Pat RUFBTR 08-31-2016 09:05 AM

I would have to make a search in France to know if we have a similar product for E85.

smurfbus 08-31-2016 11:06 AM

I have run e85 on my audi for 5 years as a daily driver and I havent used any additives and no problems so far. 044 pump and id1000 injectors and lines and rest of fueling stock. Really cold temps are hard but you dont have those with 930.
