79 turbo questions

I have a late 79 production turbo, it's at a body shop for restoration. What I need to know is when Porsche switched from snorkel head light washer to flat ones.

Also need to know when the switch to head light trim rings with adjustment holes from the ones without.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

What are the last three numbers of your vin?

FWIW, my car is 899 and has the flat style washer jets and no adjustment holes in the 'scoops.

It's a late production car, last 4 are 1048

Your car would have come with the smaller headlight washers (not snorkels) and the adjustable headlight trim rings.
