Adjusting clutch
Hi!
Just wanted to hear if this looks ok/normal? My clutch cable seems to me to «dig» into the aluminium of my gearbox. Afraid that the piece on the gearbox could break off... please share if you know anything ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Doesn't really look any different than mine.

I have a washer between the mount and the nut.

Yes they do that and yes sometimes they break off. You need another washer on the back side though. mine was dropped or something some time in the past and it has a little bracket fabbed up to bolt the cable to similar to the old 910 tranny's.

The original poster could fix his by reinstalling the clutch cable with a couple bigger outside diameter washers under the nuts. Depending on the size of the washers he'll probably have to grind one side of each washer down a little so the cable will fit up against the transaxle housing correctly.

He’s definitely missing a washer to support the cable in the trans.

Mine seemed to be worn or have a notch as well. I don't think they all wore that way.
It must be notched there on purpose to lock the forward nut from spinning.

But your washers seem to be inside the cutout for the cable, instead of pressing up against the trans mount like mine do. I don't think they do much if they are inside the cutout. By having them like mine are, you will better distribute the load across the entire washer, instead of on small points of the nut as they dig into the mount.

I see your two washers. Unfortunately they have a small OD as-designed and work their way inside the mounting area. Technically they should be outside. It is annoying. Your solution will work as intended.
