Lets play a game..?
I show you guys pictures of scary wiring and you try to guess what its for?
So its a 1988 3.2 Cab Slantnose. I'm waiting for the Waynes 101 to come in along with the Bentley Service Manual. Only electrical issues I'm having right now is that none of the front windows go up. I took a picture of one of the fuses in the frunk, doesn't look busted but pretty nasty, could that be it? Lets begin: Image 1.) 3 open wires. One blue/white, and two crusty white? ![]() Image 2.) 3 plugs. Two male plugs close together in the far corner, one female(?) plug closer to the camera. ![]() Image 3.) Two plugs, one black and one white. White one has one end open ![]() Image 4.) Super crusty bundle of wires above the battery box location. Any guesses? ![]() Image 5.) Blue and maybe white also(?) open wire that looks like it might have been grounded to the body? ![]() Image 6.) Random male and female plug that I plugged together, what's it even for? ![]() Image 7) In the engine bay those three main plugs in the center of the picture are for what fuel components or other components? The white one at the top is hanging on for dear life so will need to replace in the future. Also what is that silver coating on the back of the bracket ![]() ![]() Image 8.) Also in the engine bay, the red wire is open. What's it for? ![]() Image 9.) There are two of these style fuses in the engine bay and one looks in good shape, this one pictured had lots of mouse poop and bus in the plastic housing when I opened it. Cleaned it up but I think it still might be trashed? Yes... I need to get that ohm meter still.. is this the fuse for the windows?? ![]() Thanks to all those joining. There are several more wires in the frunk and engine bay that I took a video of but no pics as of right now. I plan on re-doing the fuse panel area later down the road. It looks like trash. Wow. When I see wiring like that the first thought I have is find a NOS harness. Good luck, I am sure you will get it sorted. Cheers, Michael

Thanks I’ll do more snooping and reading up. If I can get the windows to work this weekend they would be amazing. |
