Rsr mfi
I have sourced a RSR space cam for the pump, I can get a set of RSR engine cams built. #1, I need a fuel chart for that space cam. #2, The pistons I have for the motor that all of this will go on are 11.8 to 1 compression. I think the compression on those mid 70s RSRs was 10.5 to 1. If that is correct, I am sure Porsche had a reason for that compression ratio, so my wondering is, is having a higher compression going to cause an imbalance in what both the engine cams and space cam want to do. Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bob |

Having trouble uploading pics, but the flow charts for 2.8 and 3.0 RSR are on youtube under Mr9146GT when Marco interviewed Gus at Pacific Injection and he had the charts. One thing Gus mentioned is that with the poor fuel of today there needs to be about 8% more fuel that on the dyno. The 2.8 and 3.0 had different space cams but I'm assuming you're asking about the 3.0 RSR with V109 space cam? I'll try posting the pics again later or just check out the Youtube video. As far as your question about compression Mark Jung could probably answer. I had a higher compression 2.8 motor with 11.5 compression and space cam worked fine but it took some tuning and adjusting the pump. |

I built a 3.4, 30 years ago, with one of Gus’s repo RSR pumps, HBF and 11.2 comp, made a few rack adjustments over the years, has always run perfect.
