Question 911 main bearings

I have a '78 3.0 case that needs align-bored. The crank is stnd., however the case side will most likely be .25mm oversize after the bore. Where can I get bearings, and at what cost?

What's cost to resize the case back to standard?

Sounds to me that he'd be save money by having the case resized instead of line bored.

Thanks to all that have replied so far. I since learned as Henry Schmidt suggested, that the dealer can order the bearings. Get ready for this!, $1,239.00. There's a chance however, that I can get the machine shop to pay for them; as there is evidence of the case been mis-matched.
As far as shaving the case halves; I'd be nervous about all the other ramifications like intermediate shaft bosses, piston clearance, and I'm not sure what else.

The machine shops that resize these cases take all of your concerns into account. [Remmeber we're talking about a few thou not a 1/4 inch.]
We do and I'm certain the Competition Engineering and Ollies do to.
If you have a favorate machine shop that specializes in Porsche machine work, just ask.
