Reusing Mahle Pistons

Hello,

I recently picked up a set of 3.3L Mahle cylinders with 8.0:1 compression pistons from Road & Race. I found out after purchasing them that the cylinders were machined for flame ring. I'd rather not send my heads out to get machined for flame ring as well, so I am wondering if it is viable to keep my pistons and just get another set of 3.3L cylinders. The cylinders & pistons are in spec for a rebuild (otherwise I wouldn't have purchased them, obviously). If it is OK to swap the cylinders, should I re-ring? Thanks for your help guys.

If the pistons and ring grooves are in spec, you can re-ring and reuse in new cylinders, no problem.
