How important are matching wrist pins to pistons?
Hi guys
How important are matching wrist pins to pistons on a 3.3 the machine shop might have mixed them up. From your experience all wrist pins measure the same? Thanks Erick |

They should all be the same but I like to match them by weight, mix and match pins and pistons to get each set close to the others.

Wrist pins vary by less than 1 gram pin to pin
Pistons vary by several grams piston to piston within a set |

That's what they are telling you. Same diameter. Which is why you can use their small weight differences (or shave off a bit of weight from one) to help fine tune piston overall balance.
