82sc tensioner help URGENT (car is apart)
I am replacing a chain tensioner on 82sc 3.0
I did not notice the position of the actual tensioner orientation I was so concerned with keeping chain tension and everything in order. OK, first, pics of old tensioner ![]() ![]() Now, I am not sure if this is correct or not ![]() the piston is not 100% under the idler, its out about 1mm ![]() there is about 1.5mm-2mm of space between idler and tensioner Is this correct? does this allow the idler to "float" a little bit? I have verified that both the old and new tensioner are the same thicknesses on these measurements. ![]() I pulled the other side cover off and there is about 1mm-1.5mm space between idler and tensioner, but the piston is all the way under the idler CORRECT? |
