Spares are a good idea. However, if you have done a recent TB/h20 pump and hoses I really don't see anything major like that going. I would be concerned with blowing a cv joint, DME relay since you have an early car, alternator/starter. maybe hydraulics, but nothing you can't really find where ever you go.
