If I'm not mistaken, the seat cover may be glued onto the foam and is not the easiest thing to remove. You may have luck restitching it while it's still on. I've had a few individuals do this with success. You could call a local upholstery shop and see what they would quote you for a repair. I can't see it being too expensive.
