since I had fully assembled before I tried to use, I have a plan to fabricate a large gauge angle iron frame to sit on top that is long enough to reach the lift points on the cars. will post pics and info when I get around to doing that.

Yes, before anyone purchases it's advised to measure the jacking point lengths. You can also ask questions here and I'd be happy to help answer them to find the correct one for your needs. The 5000SLX unit is what we used in the video at the link above for lifting the 911SC. The SLX units were actually redesigned due to the issue of individuals having to modify the old units to fit their 997's. There is an older YouTube video out there of what an individual did to modify his BL-3500 a while back to fit his that you might be able to check out.
